Speaker at the ‘Community event Circular Food Chain’

On Thursday, Nov. 26, we had the honor of speaking at the Circular Food Chain Community Event organized by Vlaanderen  Circulair (Flanders Circular). What a valuable gathering of some 70 passionate professionals, all united in one goal: building a more sustainable future! 

The agri-food sector - one of the economically most important sectors in Flanders - is facing a major transition. This event focused on the steps towards Circularity 2.0: how do we take the circular food chain to the next level? Plenary sessions brought insight into challenges and opportunities, while in a parallel session we shared our focus on “From side stream to main feed.

The feed sector has an ambitious goal: by 2030, 40% of raw materials should come from by-products. This aligns perfectly with our mission! At Trotec, our circular feed ingredients play a key role in this transition. Studies by ILVO and the Swiss Agroscope even show that circular ingredients can make up to 40% of the feed composition. A gamechanger for the industry and a step forward for our planet. 

We are proud to be part of this movement towards a more sustainable food chain.
